2022 ANNUAL HOLIDAY HEROES TOY AND FOOD DRIVE

Members of York Regional Police are excited to be back with our 26th annual Holiday Heroes campaign. We’re ready to support those less fortunate this holiday season and we need your help.

This year’s campaign will run from November 14 to December 16, 2022. Members of the public can participate by dropping off new, unwrapped toys, new children’s clothing, gift cards or monetary donations at any York Regional Police facility:
 #1 District Headquarters – 429 Harry Walker Parkway South, Newmarket
 #2 District Headquarters – 171 Major Mackenzie Drive West, Richmond Hill
 #3 District Headquarters – 3527 Baseline Road, Sutton
 #4 District Headquarters – 2700 Rutherford Road, Vaughan
 #5 District Headquarters – 8700 McCowan Road, Markham
 York Regional Police Headquarters – 47 Don Hillock Drive, Aurora; between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m.

We are also accepting online donations at yrp.ca/hhdonate. Financial donations are used to buy groceries and other items that are desperately needed, but are not commonly donated during the drive, such as winter clothing, diapers and formula. The best part about the campaign is that 100 per cent of donations go directly back to those in need here in York Region.

Collaborative efforts with our community, along with our generous corporate partners, means we can provide holiday cheer to thousands of people who have registered for assistance through local Salvation Army programs and Victim Services of York Region.

York Regional Police will be hosting the official Holiday Heroes launch, in partnership with the Newmarket Soccer Club, at 621 Newpark Blvd., Newmarket, on Saturday, November 19, 2021 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Official remarks will take place at 9:45 a.m., with a soccer game between police and coaches taking place immediately afterwards.

We will also be holding several events at various locations throughout the campaign accepting donations.
The dates and locations can be found on our events calendar at https://www.yrp.ca/en/community/EventsSchedule.asp

The Holiday Heroes campaign has been held every year since 2008, gathering monetary donations, new toys, new children’s clothing and food. As always, all donations raised in York Region, stay in York Region. A special thanks to members of our community as these goals could never have been achieved without the generosity and support from the public.
