On the afternoon of June 27, Mapleview Entertainment successfully hosted the Summer Floral Workshop. This was the first workshop following this year’s series of floral art courses, and the enthusiasm and participation of the attendees were as vibrant as the summer sun. The event was funded by the Canadian government’s New Horizon Senior Program.
After floral art instructor Heather introduced the basic guidelines and requirements for the workshop, the participants eagerly selected their desired floral materials. Returning to their seats, they immediately immersed themselves in creating their floral arrangements with focus and enthusiasm.
The active involvement of each participant filled the event with vitality and creativity. Attendees thoughtfully selected each flower and meticulously designed every detail, resulting in unique and creative pieces. Some preferred bright color combinations, showcasing their fiery passion, while others favored more subtle arrangements, reflecting inner tranquility and peace. Each floral creation was a one-of-a-kind work of art, highlighting the unique aesthetic and inner world of its creator.
During the workshop, everyone experienced the joy and tranquility of finding themselves in the world of flowers. Each bouquet and leaf was brought to life in our hands. Flowers are a gift from nature and a palette for our lives. Amidst busy city life, people often forget their connection with nature and the simple joy it brings. However, during the floral arrangement process, everyone’s spirit received a brief relaxation and purification. Floral arranging is not just a craft activity but a process of self-reflection. Participants searched for their own rhythm and harmony while selecting flowers, coordinating colors, and adjusting shapes.
At the end of the event, each participant took photos to capture this memorable moment. The organizers also thoughtfully presented each participant with a commemorative certificate to honor their involvement and creativity.
