Toronto Hosts 2025 “Chinese Traditional Culture Festival” and 20th Anniversary Celebration of the Canada Qilu Association

Toronto, August 3, 2025 — The 2025 “Chinese Traditional Culture Festival” and the 20th Anniversary Celebration of the Canada Qilu Association took place successfully at Wismer Park in Markham. The event was co-hosted by the Confederation of Canadian Sichuan Associations (CCSA), the Canada Qilu Association, and various Toronto Chinese community organizations.

The celebration, which coincides with the 55th anniversary of China–Canada diplomatic relations, attracted more than 600 attendees, including 12 representatives from all three levels of Canadian government, officials from the Chinese Consulate General in Toronto, and members of the Greater Toronto Area Chinese community.

The festival featured more than 30 performances by over 100 artists, offering a blend of traditional and contemporary art forms. The program included folk dances, modern K-pop performances, musical recitals, poetry readings, and cultural showcases. In addition to stage performances, attendees enjoyed hands-on experiences in traditional Chinese crafts such as paper-cutting, porcelain making, sugar figurines, and steamed flower buns. Traditional sports like tug-of-war also engaged both children and adults.
