Two Alleged Sexual Assaults Reported on Brampton Züm Bus, One Victim a Minor

TORONTO, October 27, 2026 – Peel Regional Police announced on October 26 that two alleged sexual assaults had recently occurred on Brampton’s Züm bus rapid transit system, with one of the victims being a minor. Both incidents took place on the 511C bus route, and police believe the same man may be responsible. Investigators are now seeking the public’s help in identifying the suspect.

Police said the two incidents occurred between October 1 and 15. In both cases, the suspect boarded a 511C bus at Humber College Terminal between approximately 4:20 p.m. and 5:11 p.m. While travelling toward Brampton Gateway Terminal, he sat near the victims and allegedly engaged in non-consensual sexual contact.

Police described the suspect as a man in his early 20s to early 30s, approximately 178 to 180 centimetres tall, with a slim build, a moustache and a black beard. He has long black hair that may have been tied in a bun.

At the time of the incidents, the suspect was wearing a black baseball cap, a grey-green hoodie, blue jeans and beige running shoes. He was also carrying a blue Under Armour backpack. Police have released surveillance images and are asking the public to help identify him.

The 511C route connects Humber College Terminal and Brampton Gateway Terminal. Police are investigating whether the two incidents are connected and are appealing to anyone who travelled on the route during the relevant dates and times, saw the suspect or had contact with him to come forward with information.

Anyone with information about the incidents is asked to contact the Peel Regional Police Special Victims Unit at 905-453-2121, extension 3460.

Police also reminded the public that survivors of sexual assault can access confidential support even if they are not ready to report an incident to police. Victim Services of Peel provides 24-hour assistance, including information, emotional support and referrals to related services. The organization can be reached at 905-568-1068.

Both incidents remain under investigation, and police have not yet confirmed whether the same person was responsible.
