Nearly 50 Overseas Chinese-Language Media Representatives Begin Yunnan Tour to Experience Its Ecological Beauty and Development Momentum

TORONTO, April 23, 2026 – Kunming, April 23 (China News Service, Lu Xicheng) — The “Colorful Yunnan, Recommended by Overseas Media” China tour for the Global Alliance of Chinese-Language Media officially launched in Kunming on the evening of April 23. Nearly 50 representatives from Chinese-language media outlets in 23 countries across five continents will visit Kunming, Yuxi, Xishuangbanna, and other parts of Yunnan from now until May 2.

On the evening of April 23, the “Colorful Yunnan · Recommended by Overseas Media” Yunnan visit under the China Tour of the Global Alliance of Chinese-Language Media was launched in Kunming.

This event is hosted by the All-China Journalists Association, the Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese of Central and State Organs, and the Yunnan Provincial Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese. During the event, representatives of Chinese-language media will conduct on-site visits focusing on Yunnan’s history and culture, ecological civilization, and economic and social development, and through symposiums, exchanges and visits, they will tell overseas audiences about beautiful Yunnan, open Yunnan and vibrant Yunnan.
