TORONTO, September 23, 2026 – Toronto Public Library has recently continued offering housing help services at several branches, providing in-person consultations for residents looking for affordable housing, applying for government housing programs, or seeking other housing resources.
On September 23, related services were available at both the S. Walter Stewart and Albert Campbell branches.
The S. Walter Stewart Branch held an Access to Housing event, where staff from the East York Housing Help Hub provided one-on-one support and introduced affordable housing options and related community resources.
The Albert Campbell Branch offered a Housing Help service. Staff provided consultations based on residents’ housing situations, helped connect them with government and community services, and shared information about rental housing options.
Residents who missed the sessions that day still have other upcoming opportunities.
On September 28 from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m., the Albert Campbell Branch will hold another Access to Housing event, introducing the application process, eligibility requirements, application updates and priority status for Rent-Geared-to-Income, or RGI, housing. Registration is required for this session.
On September 29 from 12:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., the Malvern Branch will provide Housing Help service. Staff from The Housing Help Centre will be on site to speak with residents one on one about their housing needs.
On September 30 from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m., the Albert Campbell Branch will hold another Housing Help session.
Toronto Public Library currently offers housing-related events regularly at several branches. The services are mainly intended for adults facing housing challenges or those who need information about affordable housing resources. Some events are also included as part of newcomer services.
Residents who need support can check the library’s events page before visiting to confirm the time, location and whether registration is required.
