The 2025 FCCM Mid-Autumn Lantern & Food Festival, organized by the Federation of Chinese Canadians in Markham (FCCM) and proudly presented by TD Bank, officially kicked off tonight at the Markham Civic Centre and its surrounding park. Supported by various levels of government, businesses, service organizations, and local non-profits, the three-day celebration (October 10–12) brings together the community to share in the beauty of Chinese culture and the spirit of Canadian multiculturalism.

From September 19 to 27, the second edition of the “Shared Moonlight Across the Globe” cultural series took place across the Greater Toronto Area. The program featured three main events: a full-length Peking Opera performance of The Legend of the White Snake, the “Bank of China Night” symphony concert, and a Mid-Autumn Night Market in Mississauga. The events drew wide participation from Canadian officials, community leaders, and audiences.
The Chinese Consulate General in Toronto hosted a grand reception at the Pan Pacific Hotel to mark the 76th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China and the 55th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Canada. More than 500 guests attended the event, including representatives from all three levels of Canadian government, members of the diplomatic corps in Toronto, business and academic leaders, as well as representatives of the Chinese community.
