“Silver Radiance Reflecting the Moon: Seniors Celebrating Mid-Autumn”

The event “Silver Glow Under the Moon: Seniors Celebrating Mid-Autumn” will be grandly held in Vaughan, inviting you to share in a joyful time together. As the autumn breeze brings coolness and the fragrance of osmanthus fills the air, the annual Mid-Autumn Festival is approaching. To celebrate this traditional festival, a special Mid-Autumn event carefully designed for our senior friends, “Silver Glow Under the Moon: Seniors Celebrating Mid-Autumn,” will take place on September 21, 2024, in Vaughan. This event will not only feature a rich array of artistic displays and cultural performances but also offer delicious food and exciting prize draws, promising an unforgettable holiday experience for all.

The event officially kicks off at 11:00 AM with a heartwarming photography exhibition showcasing the works of our senior friends, capturing beautiful moments from life and presenting the world through their eyes. At 1:00 PM, the Mid-Autumn themed floral exhibition will begin, beautifully blending the aesthetics of nature with the festive atmosphere through exquisite floral displays.

At 2:00 PM, the main cultural performances will start. The fitness demonstration with Rouliqiu (softball) will showcase the vitality and health of the elderly participants, energizing the crowd. Following this will be a series of captivating singing and dancing performances, highlighting the charm of traditional Chinese culture.

Throughout the event, a variety of traditional Mid-Autumn delicacies will be available, allowing everyone to savor mooncakes, tea snacks, and other festive treats while sharing the joy of the festival with family and friends. Additionally, there will be a special raffle, offering participants exciting prizes and surprises. Whether it’s the food or the prizes, they will surely add more fun and anticipation to the event.

The event is jointly organized by the Vaughan Multicultural Community Association (VMCA), Mapleview Entertainment, the Canada-China International Cultural Development Association (CCICDA), and Asight. It is open to the public free of charge. The event will be held at 9500 Dufferin Street in Vaughan, and everyone is warmly invited to attend.
