TTC Service Changes Begin November 1, Affecting Scarborough Express Routes and Queen Streetcars

TORONTO, October 29, 2026 – The Toronto Transit Commission (TTC) announced a new round of service adjustments on October 28, with several bus and streetcar routes set to change starting Sunday, November 1. The changes will affect Scarborough express bus routes, streetcar services along Queen and King streets, and bus connections to Sunnybrook Hospital.

As track work at Long Branch Loop nears completion, the 501 Queen, 301 Queen and 507 Long Branch streetcars will resume service to Long Branch Loop. Some temporary replacement bus services introduced during construction will also be discontinued.

Watermain replacement work continues to affect the King Street West area. The 504 and 304 King streetcars will operate between Dundas West Station and Broadview Station, while the 504C and 304C replacement buses will continue running between Sunnyside Loop and Distillery Loop.

The 503 Kingston Road replacement bus service will be extended west to Dufferin Gate Loop, while the 508 Lake Shore streetcar will be temporarily suspended.

Several Scarborough express bus routes will also undergo changes.

The 904 Sheppard-Kennedy Express will be renamed the 904 Don Mills-Scarborough Express, operating between Scarborough Centre Station and Don Mills Station. The route will no longer serve the Scarborough Busway section between Scarborough Centre and Kennedy Station.

The 903 Kennedy Station-Scarborough Express will be renamed the 903 Kennedy-Progress Express, connecting Kennedy Station with the Centennial College Bus Terminal.

The 943 Kennedy Express will resume weekday morning and afternoon rush-hour service. The 902 Markham Road Express and 995 York Mills Express will also receive additional service during certain weekday evenings and weekends.

Bus services to Sunnybrook Hospital will also change. The 52F Lawrence West route will be extended to Sunnybrook Hospital, with additional evening service introduced. The 124 Sunnybrook route will be discontinued, and passengers who previously used it can take the revised 11B Bayview or 52F routes instead.

As ridership patterns change during the fall and winter seasons, seasonal routes including the 200 Toronto Zoo, 201 Bluffer’s Park, 202 Cherry Beach and 203 High Park will also be suspended.

The TTC said some of the adjustments are being made to accommodate road and watermain construction, while others will restore service following the completion of track work.

Passengers are encouraged to review updated schedules and stop locations for their regular routes before November 1, particularly those transferring to Scarborough express buses, using King Street streetcars or travelling to Sunnybrook Hospital.
