Chery’s Omoda and Jaecoo Launch Canadian Websites, Plan Market Entry in Late 2026

TORONTO, October 14, 2026 – Omoda and Jaecoo, two brands under Chinese automaker Chery Automobile, are preparing to enter the Canadian market. The two brands recently launched official websites for Canadian consumers, with the pages marked “Coming late 2026,” indicating plans to enter Canada by the end of 2026.

At this stage, the websites only confirm the timeline. Initial models, pricing and sales arrangements have not yet been announced.

The Canadian websites position Omoda and Jaecoo as premium electrified vehicle brands, and say future products will be aimed at Canadian consumers and local driving needs.

Omoda and Jaecoo have entered several markets in recent years, including Europe, Asia, the Middle East and Australia. Omoda mainly focuses on crossover models, while Jaecoo is centred on SUV products.

Among models sold in overseas markets, the Jaecoo J7 has drawn attention and is available in different versions, including hybrid and plug-in hybrid options. Whether the J7 will come to Canada has not yet been confirmed by the company.

In addition to specific models, dealer and after-sales service arrangements for the Canadian market have not yet been announced. After a new auto brand enters Canada, it still needs to establish sales, repair and parts supply systems.

Chery has continued expanding its overseas business in recent years, with several of its brands already entering Europe, Australia and other markets. The Canadian timeline for Omoda and Jaecoo gives Canadian consumers a clearer first indication of when the brands may arrive.

More information on models, pricing and sales arrangements is expected to be released before the brands officially enter the Canadian market.
