Wang Yanjun, Cultural Counsellor at the Consulate General of the People’s Republic of China in Toronto; Paul Chiang, Member of the Canadian Parliament; Markham Mayor Frank Scarpitti; and several provincial and local government officials delivered congratulatory speeches. They praised the association’s potential to promote cultural exchange between China and Canada and advance the globalization of Chinese liquor.

CLCCA President Wan Bing

CLCCA President Wan Bing emphasized that Chinese liquor culture embodies profound historical and cultural significance. The association aims to build a bridge between Chinese and Canadian liquor cultures and markets, facilitating the international expansion of Chinese liquor brands.

The association announced three key initiatives: the opening of Canada’s first Chinese Liquor Experience Center, the Third Chinese Aged Liquor Exhibition and Charity Auction in January 2025, and the launch of a local Chinese liquor production base. These milestones mark significant progress in expanding the global footprint of Chinese liquor.

The establishment of CLCCA has garnered widespread attention from the liquor industries in both China and Canada. Renowned Chinese brands such as Luzhou Laojiao, Langjiu, and Shede have joined as council members, alongside companies from countries including the United States, the United Kingdom, and Japan.

Looking ahead, CLCCA plans to host tasting events, cultural activities, and international exhibitions to further enhance the global influence of Chinese liquor while deepening cultural and economic collaboration between China and Canada. (LJI by Rudy)
