[CCTVmedium – Yuhong Report] Toronto – September 7, 2025, the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF 50) transforms King Street West into a dynamic, pedestrian-only hub for its tenth annual Festival Street, running September 4–7, 2025, spanning Peter Street to University Avenue. Here are some of the highlights.

In partnership with Toronto Film School, Toronto’s local film festivals and arts organizations will have booths sharing art exhibits, programming information, and more. Featuring 14 of the city’s most exciting community film festivals and arts organisations.

New additions include Billboard Canada and NXNE Music Zones with DJs at the Art and Food Markets, where an outdoor dining area offers extra seating and lighting. Performances by a variety of Billboard DJ’s, such as PHENOMENAL, STROM, OM.EL BEAT, LYZS, DEVO, PENNY and others, provides music throughout the weekend.

CORRIDOOR BY MAZIART is a holographic, immersive installation that envelops audiences in light and wonder. Using interactive technology and projection mapping, it invites passersby to walk down memory lane and become part of a surreal, cinematic red carpet experience.

For the first time, the Criterion Mobile Closet makes its Canadian debut, inviting visitors to explore over 1,700 films and create Closet videos, with Criterion movies and merchandise available at the TIFF Shop. Come in, explore the collection, and make your own Closet video! Criterion tote bags and a printed pocket guide to the Criterion Collection available while supplies last.

The Festival Street Art Market features booths along John Street showcasing 14 community film festivals and arts groups, including Inside Out, Reel Asian, imagineNATIVE, Toronto Latin American Film Festival, and others, with live performances. African filmmakers and diaspora artists are encouraged to engage with these platforms to amplify their stories, reflecting the continent’s growing cinematic influence.

The TIFF Pop-Up Shop at Lightbox offers exclusive merchandise, including a limited-edition TIFF 50 jacket with Roots, a custom necklace and bracelet by Dean Davidson, and items featuring the 1976 “director’s hands” poster image.

RBC Red Carpet Gallery is one of the most coveted destinations for celebrity spotting during TIFF! Avion Rewards members will have access to an exclusive viewing experience of the world’s biggest stars arriving to their Gala premieres on the Roy Thomson Hall red carpet.
