Oak Valley Health’s Markham Stouffville Hospital on April 8 recognized the Town of Whitchurch-Stouffville and Mayor Iain Lovatt for a $1 million contribution raised through a series of community fundraising events in support of the hospital.

At the end of March, Monsheong Foundation said a fundraising campaign held with A1 Chinese Radio raised more than $270,000 to support the construction of two new long-term care homes in Markham and Richmond Hill.

The City of Toronto announced on March 17 that it is expanding its CampTO nutrition program for Summer 2026 and continuing its Early Local Registration model to improve access for families and children across the city. Mayor Olivia Chow visited York Recreation Centre on the same day, where she joined children participating in the CampTO March Break program and handed out nutritious snacks.
